What's new in May 2012

May Day! May Day!

     It's the first of May, and that means a few exciting new changes! Where to begin....

     First and foremost, all the products from the Spring Mini Catalogue are no longer available. Hopefully, some of those products will make their way into the Idea Book & Catalogue 2012-2013 that launches in October, but for now we have a whole batch of new products to drool over! Introducing....

Summer Mini Catalogue

     As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, one of my privileges is being able to preorder these products in the month before their launch date. (You can see several examples of items demonstrators have made with these products on my facebook page, just click the link at the top of this blog.) While I haven't had much time to play with them yet as I went on holiday, I did have fun using the Blossom Punch, Simply Scored, and the Baby Prints set for my swaps! I made over 30 card fronts that I was able to trade with fellow demonstrators at our last training. Like trading cards when you were young, but much more exciting and fun!

           Here is a picture of what I made:   

     I really love Simply Scored and how it can transform anything with a few strokes of the stylus. Simply Scored comes with an Imperial board as standard, with three place markers and a dual-ended stylus. You have the option to purchase a metric board, extra stylus, and extra place markers. I was able to score down the strips of Dotted Scallop Border trim and make them instantly fancier! And I think these little baby footprints are just adorable... 

     Another of my favourite products are the new scented embossing powders. They make me feel like a kid in a candy store! They come in Cherry, Vanilla, and Melon, and I have to say that Melon is my favourite. Stay tuned for some examples, but to smell it yourself check out the Summer Mini and give me a shout!

     One thing you won't find in the Summer Mini is another Simply Scored accessory, perfect for making your own envelopes or just about anything else you can imagine!
